WHAT IS THE PRIMAL FLOW?

The Primal Flow fuses dynamic and static yoga asana, primal movement and intentionally structured sequencing. This vinyasa style yoga format is grounded in anatomical alignment, and offers direct & purposeful communication. This powerful class structure is designed to help people reconnect to their primal nature, and find harmony & balance within. Primal Flow integrates the five elements into the movement, uses specific pranayama breathing techniques, and offers a powerful physical & energetic release. Training includes yoga asana alignment, cueing, hands-on adjustment, class sequencing, modifications as well as practicum. This training is ideal for those who have taken a 200 hour yoga teacher training and are ready to add new tools into their yoga teaching toolbox.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Certification weekends are a unique and wonderful experience; what you put into it is what you will receive out of it. Proper nutrition, hydration, preparation and your presence throughout each day will be imperative. We will work hard physically, and ask you to tap in mentally as we go over advanced teaching techniques. Training days run from 8am-6pm Friday & Saturday, and Sunday from 8am-4pm or sooner depending on group size.

Day 1 covers anatomy & physiology, movement energetics, pranayama and intentional sequencing.

Day 2 we break down The Primal Flow class structure, and begin building and practice teaching class sequences.

Day 3 of training we move into our demo and feedback portion. Every participant will be asked to present a 10-12 minute demonstration, and will be offered constructive feedback to make sure that you are ready and confident to lead The Primal Flow classes from the moment you walk out. Once demos are complete, we cover how to use props and provide modifications to teach The Primal Flow to students of all levels.

The Primal Flow moves with the music, and we ask that you bring a device that you can create a playlist on. Please also bring your own yoga mat and an optional change of clothes - we will be moving and sweating! Your highest calling is waiting, and the world desperately needs your magic. Join the Primal community and help bring this healing movement modality to your students.

If you have any other questions, please send us an email at info@theprimalflow.com and we will respond within 1-2 days.
